The groundwork has been done under Dunn's leadership: https://wmubroncos.com/documents/2020/7/..._FINAL.pdf The athletic typeface was near perfect. The logo adjustments had been made to accommodate single colors and were detailed and looked great either blown up or on a sock. Do you prefer old school logos and colors? No problem! Create a legacy line of gear -- sport those athletic uniforms on occasion similar to UM/MSU. Use the legacy typeface and refine the W -- or convert it to "WMU" for academics.

None of this was hard to do.

At the end of the day, this is Montgomery's mess -- clean it up or continue with a failed product.

It’s still a mess. But I will have to say athletics has started to clean it up. They have removed the yellow frosted tips, gotten rid of the stupid font, and gone with basically a dark brown and white scheme. Now if we can only get more apparel that students and alumni can support.

Have they made any official announcement on this? The athletic page is basically scrubbed of all the rebrand stuff which is awesome (with the exception of right facing bronco which has grown on me)/

This is about all we've really gotten and since then the logo's have been replaced at Waldo as well. If the university was a little more transparent throughout this whole thing maybe it wouldn't be such a cluster F, but I don't think they really care.

Does anyone believe this statement?

“Connecting with our student athletes was a priority for me walking in the door immediately, but as important, getting feedback from our constituents,” Bartholomae said. “I surveyed the student athletes and sent it to all of our donors, constituents, and the alumni association board members. To be honest with you, I got very little feedback on the visual identity.”

All he needed to do is read this thread and he would have gotten some tremendous, detailed feedback.

They should of went back to the drawing board, starting with a strong market research vs further bastardizing a bad design concept.
