Plus, IMO, we look too close to CMU's maroon and yellow-gold. Again, if Proudfoot had done his due diligence with some real market research of the WMU community, we could all be on the same page.

BTW, I found another relic from the past. A 1930's Western Michigan sweater that is clearly not yellow-gold -- it more of a gold-gold: https://www.ebay.com/itm/143971256281?ha...Swey5gRUXE

Why is this so B/W for you and I BroncoMD? There were no good reasons/rational for Proudfoot/Montgomery to make all the changes they made to both the W and the Spirit mark. And yet several of the changes they did make contradict many basic principles of design and marketing. The color of gold, changing direction of the horse to be more like others, reducing the number of colors, simplifying the artwork, etc.

This sweater is just one more example. In 2007 the W artwork was modified to look like a Chenille letter with a double felted outline that is worn on a letter jacket or sweater. Kudos to the designer who was looking for a creative idea to help make our "W" stand out from the 391 other Universities/colleges also using a W. Do you guys remember growing up wishing you had a letter jacket/sweater? I could not wait to get to high school and earn a letter. The designer did a great job of tying into the emotion connection of the pride by wearing your school colors and displaying your school letter, which also representing your personal accomplishment. It also speaks to the history and tradition of the institution with mass appeal.

Now we got a brown circle with a yellow W.

The vast majority of the WMU community does not want this. And you wonder why this administration is imploding?
