College Enrollment On Track for Largest Two-Year Drop on Record

Now that we've changed to color of gold, flipped the Bronco and making the W the primary athletic mark, I'm sure our enrollment numbers are improving.
Wait a minute, since we actually know this data, we can confirm it's working....2021 Fall Under Grad Enrollment down -7.5%.

$600K well spent...

I think it's obvious to everyone, except Montgomery, they brought in the wrong guy to market the university.

Actually, I believe Montgomery knows he screwed up, yet if he takes action, it will reflect negatively on his decision making for hiring and allowing this idot to make these changes. So he's just going to try and ride this one out.

My question is, who is holding Montgomery accountable?

If the undergraduate enrollment continues to spiral downward he will most likely get fired -- unless the WMU gift somehow saves him.

I believe the President reports to: https://wmich.edu/trustees/members

Enrollment - both undergraduate and graduate - is down at many places, especially in the Midwest. $$ needs to come from other sources - and Montgomery can claim the largest donation to a public university ever. He's safe.

Montgomery is so safe, there is no excuse to keep Proudfoot around. He has been a failure with one exception. When he arrived we had an old "University Relations" office that was operating the same as it had for 40 years. Proudfoot overhauled that office into a more modern Marketing and Communications office. Those efforts will pay off for the next person they hire.

I have never felt that the Board of Trustees has an understanding of enrollment, campus climate, or funding. They are the most out-of-touch unit in the WMU community.

Thank you BroncoFan1 for your continued insight.

One point I wanted to make is that I didn't join this forum to fight against the WMU administration. I simply wanted to talk to fellow Broncos about WMU athletics. My wife and i are able to travel and it's nice to have others acknowledge WMU through our gear. I simply want gear that we can be proud of -- not something we're ashamed of. But, here we are rebranding again. So frustrating.
