RE: What’s the latest on the WMU color and logo rebrand
If you take a look at all the division IA logos, there are no "containers" within the schools logos: https://www.espn.com/college-football/standings My theory is that the VP Communications did not like the use of the university seal which was used quite often under the Dunn rebrand. Simply pop the gold W into container and wipe out the seal. I could be very wrong on this but it makes sense for the school signage around campus.

The bronco logo combined with the block W (above) screams "Western Michigan" to me personally. The circle W? Not so much. If someone outside of Michigan sees the circle W, it means Wyoming, IMO. Inside Michigan, people see W, C, and E and think, oh yeah, it's one of those local directional "small" schools. Aren't those "little" commuter schools cute?

When the Michigan Stadium boards asked who liked the new WMU logo it was met with boos everywhere. There is nothing special about it. We could have easily cleaned up the logo W-Bronco logo so it wasn't so busy, kept the beloved ghost bronco for football and be done with it. Instead, we have an absolute mess on our hands.
