RE: Interesting look at the future and past of sports media
I, for one, am a beneficiary of the present model. I appreciate the fact that my interest in watching sports is heavily subsidized by people who don't watch much at all. I'm not sure how happy I would be if sports viewing were to move to a model where I had to pay what it really cost.

I'm not really sure how many channels I have access to. I know it's far more than the 25-30 channels (including sports channels) I actually watch. If I had to pay for each of those channels a la carte I'd probably cut some of them out, including some of the sports channels.

I don't understand much about all these options. Heck, I don't even know what many of these options are. I'm sure of one thing, though. No matter how the system changes, I'm betting that I'll be paying more in the future than I do today, and watching less.
