We were dealing with a global pandemic. Leaders all around the world had to make tough decisions. Some decisions were right. Some decisions were wrong. In Michigan, we watched Trump's mob plan a murder/kidnap of our Governor over her decisions. And you think Governor Whitmer is on the wrong side of history.

Now back to the actual subject of this thread, how does anything Governor Whitmer did compare to Donald Trump deciding to try and overrule the results of a Presidential election, organizing a rally on the day they certified the election, and telling his mob to go invade the Capitol, and continuing to lie about it for over a year.

The level of cognivate dissonance you have to have to believe Governor Whitmer was showing fascist behavior over haircuts & cottages, but be OK with the actions of Donald Trump trying to change the results of a Presidential election, is truly staggering.

You seem perfectly willing to accept tyranny as long as it’s being exercised by the right people. For all his faults, the oaf in chief never cancelled your surgery, abridged the first amendment, directed corporations to fire you for not following his orders, etc.

You seem perfectly willing to forget “your side” attacked the White House and attempted to breach security, and “your side” laughed about the security situation: “the president is hiding! Hahaha.”

Just consider that someday you will no longer be part of the club and the massive power apparatus you excuse in the name of public health hysteria is going to decide it’s time to run over you.

My side? So, Barack Obama or Joe Biden or Hillary organized a rally in DC & told the protesters to march to the WH? That’s what happened on January 6th. Protesters on your WH event were protesting a black man being killed The January 6th protesters were protesting a white guy losing a fair election & trying to overthrow democracy.

I bet you think these are the same.

Same goal: illegally breach security and harm the people within. The difference is I reject the violence and you implicitly support it.

Now, I’m confused. So, was January 6th violence that should be rejected or is it Legitimate Political Discourse like the Republican Party is now claiming? Try to answer the question w/o using whataboutism as your crutch.
