My feeling is that the following will happen...

1) The Southland will show the Texas schools + UCA the door earlier than '22 meaning the 'new' WAC comes into existence in six months.
2) The WAC football schools will play some sort of modified schedule that could include home-and-homes in the same year for football (due to late scheduling) and/or figure a way to include UCA amongst their number for at least a year in football to help UCA 'bridge' the gap.
3) UTRGV will be starting football in next five years
4) The WAC will add at least one more Div II school to its ranks to start league play in '23. Likely announcement of whom that is in the coming weeks) from the Lonestar Conference (most likely WTAMU with lesser chance of TAMU Commerce)
