Liberty represents a very particular political viewpoint, that of evangelical right wing populism. One of the tenets of this viewpoint is the defunding of public education, at the K-12 and higher ed levels. Most of the American are publicly funded schools, and ones like Temple, Houston, ECU, Memphis, USF and UCF have mission statements to serve students in demographics that have historically had trouble getting into higher ed. Additionally Navy represents that most socialist of institutions, the great US military. I cannot envision the presidents of these schools welcoming Liberty, who espouses the elimination of public education.

I understand. That is because public education has become more and more leftist and only presents one worldview anymore. They believe in diversity but not in diversity of opinions. Yes, they are very against one size fits all in regards to education, which can result in mass indoctrination and loss of freedoms. If Liberty has to stay Independent, so be it. They aren't exactly suffering being Independent. I'd rather them stay Independent like BYU than fold on their value system.

I'm so confused. Could someone please explain to me the difference between leftist world-view geology and right-wing world-view geology? Is one built on a foundation of scientific rigor while the other believes that heaven and Earth were created in just seven days a few thousand years ago? The last thing I'd want, as a geologist, is to discover that the mass indoctrination I was exposed to at my public university might lead to my loss of freedoms.

Leftist - The "geology" has taught us that you are nothing more than a sea of molecules and rocks from the big bang so your daughter can become a boy by the age of 6 b/c she likes dinosaurs and dirt more than Barbie's. Anything goes, we are free to just be.

Rightist - Whatever that guy says who built an ark in KY, I'm good with that. He must be right. I stopped thinking for myself long ago.

Can we please cease with the Political Narrative and move that portion to the "Smack Board". It's hard enough to follow the G4 school's fans begging for scraps without, political shenanigans being tossed about.
