If the AAC ever gets access we'll always play the top seed in the first round because we'll be seeded dead last. But whatever, at least we'd actually be there.

If it's an autobid like the P5 conf champs then I don't think it will be. I think the only fair way to do the seeding is to go by each conferences total OOC record.

If they actually expand and put it to 8 teams (which is not nearly enough IMO), I doubt we’ll see an auto bid. And when an AAC does get in, I agree they’ll probably be an 8th seed matched up against #1. As good as it sounds just to see one of our teams get a shot, I dread the the backlash if we get blown out. It doesn’t matter that the Buckeyes got their doors blown off in the National Championship. They can make excuses for them or just shrug it off. But if a G5 school gets beat like that, it just feeds the current stigma that we shouldn’t have been there. We don’t belong.

College football is just screwed up. The majority of our posts are centered around being included with the P5 and having access to the CFP. When you sit back and think about it none of this makes any logical sense.

I challenge anyone on here to find another postseason that resembles FBS college football. You can look at amateur, professional, and collegiate team sports at any age group, anywhere on the planet, and you won’t find it. Not in Zimbabwe, not in Turkey, India, or wherever. You won’t find it.

How can you take a league of 130 schools, divide it down the middle and say okay this half over her gets to play in a playoff. This other half, hmmm, we will let your best team play one of our really good teams over here. Sound good?

None of this makes any sense.

More than just a G5 stigma, it's a national phenomena that affects every aspect of life, if it happens to someone that doesn't fit the narrative it's news, if it happens to someone within the narrative... "nothing to see here, just move along sonny"
