It will be considered appalling to some AAC fans that Commissioner Aresco or the AAC leadership could have sealed the deal weeks ago by being shrewd enough to realize the opportunity before it was too later.

All they had to do is tell Boise - look, it's ok with us if you want to park your basketball and olympic sports in the AAC for a couple of years - - long enough to give you the time you need to find a long-term solution.

The down side? There was none, other than the hassle and temporary costs of playing some games/events in Idaho for a couple of years. The potential up side?

Nothing less than the possiblity of establishing a path toward power conference status.

I consider the AAC Presidents complete imbeciles for not realizing that they had a once in a generation opportunity to take a dramatic step forward toward power conference status. With all their fancy offices, educations, yachts and luxurious lifestyles, they've been absolute idiots and simpletons throughout this story, in my book.

Despite all the BS and 12 page post, Boise struggles to not lose 3-4 games a year in a league where they average almost 6 losing teams a year. They never intended to come and could get no one to take their Olympic sports so they could be considered for football only.
