If there is no rule change allowing a championship game with no divisions but not playing a full conference round robin...
And if the AAC does not get extension of waiver to do so...
Then AAC staying at 11 members can have uneven divisions with division round robin and division winners meeting in CCG.

Scheduling is even harder with uneven divisions than with divisionless eleven.

"no championship game" is not an option. Period.

Correct. Its a pain, which is why IF one of the few teams on our "Does add value" list shows interest---we will certainly make a move. Ive been impressed thus far with the discipline that the AAC leadership has shown in not settling for some random warm body addition just to avoid a period of temporary scheduling inconvenience. Such an add would have reflected laziness, indifference to quality, and a general lack of substance to the P6 narrative. So far we've not seen that from this group of presidents---which is encouraging.

Not so difficult, the Big 10 played with 11 members, after adding Penn State in 1990, until adding Nebraska in 2011...

I don't remember back that far. Is this pre- championship games and divisions?

It was for the BIG the SEC was already playing a championship game and had divisions. As did the Big Xii before Nebraska, Missouri, and Colorado left.

However the MAC has had uneven divisions. Neither option is that difficult. There is no reason to rush an add. It might be a mathematical puzzle each year but uneven divisions are easily doable as are no divisions of any number.
