In the past, most conferences have pooled the revenue from all bowls where member schools participate in a given year, and divide it up equally. The participating schools usually gets an extra share from the pool. So while it's probably not a windfall for UC, the NY6 bowl pumps a couple million more dollars into that pool in the years when the AAC gets the bid.

There will likely be a nice bump in licensed merchandise sales--both AAC championship and bowl specific along with more UC clothing sales. And the brand building for the University and Bearcat sports, while difficult to measure, certainly adds value when appearing on the big stage on New Year's.

In believe the AAC deal is pooling for all bowls but NY6. I think we split the $4 million...1/2 to us and 1/2 to the conference. Pretty sure that was the deal for UCF and Memphis.
