There is no reason you guys cannot keep this up if you can recruit the talent that is all around you. The 2012 SJSU team went 11-2, ended up ranked No. 21 in the nation eight players on that team ended up making NFL rosters. It can be done at San Jose State.

Boise State is trying to protect their brand and their revenue and the AAC would help in both areas, but it could also really blow up on them. From 2016 through 2020, Boise State had 120 football recruits in that five year period, 53 from California. About 45% of their recruits came from California. Texas was second with 18 and the state of Idaho provided 10 players. If Boise State is not playing football games in California, that will effect their football recruiting in California and probably help the three MWC California schools. Unlike schools in bigger states, Boise cannot find the talent at home.

As it is, in the eight years of the MWC Championship game, Boise has won three times, San Diego State twice, Fresno State twice, and San Jose State once. The cracks in their alleged dominance are starting to show. Playing in the Mountain division has helped them. Boise State should be happy to be where they are, but they cannot stop whining. Good luck to the AAC if they take these guys.
