The idea that Houston needs to rest up/stay safe for their impending Final 4 run is a little wild to me.

it had nothing to do with resting ...he said you have to 7 consecutive negative tests to be allowed in the ncaa tournament

the aac tournament is 4 days before the ncaa tournament.... Texas has removed all restrictions, aac tournament will have fans... he said he was questioning it if it was worth the risk ... right now to him it is, but said he might change his mind

I mean.. I live in Texas and restrictions/no restrictions aint changing THAT much. UT was doing 30K fans at the height of covid and had people standing shoulder to shoulder for hours in line for temp scans, several bars in Austin downtown district have been packed and basically maskless for months. Its even more wild west in Houston based on my Instagram feed.

Assuming AAC puts in some reasonable constraints on fan location I don't see how it will be that much more of a risk. If thats the rationale, why were they scheduling random games with Our Lady in the middle of a conference title run?

to your texas point- houston has a final four caliber team (we feel that way, regardless of your opinion).. final 4 opportunities are few and far between....
we arent worried about getting sick, we are worried about testing positive and forfeiting in the ncaa .... this is actually legitimate and understandable .. UT can reschedule regular season games, you can't reschedule the ncaa,

in response to your lady of the lake, no conference opponent was available
also we can reschedule regular season games if we caught covid then...
..and did you actually watch the game ..

it was scheduled last minute... it was supposed to be gonzaga but we couldnt agree on a location.... OLLU agreed to come here.. no starter played in the game, only backups and role players...was a crazy confidence boost for them and theyve all been playing better since (tramon had 22 in a half, tyson broke the single game 3pt record, shead basically got a quadruple double )

being honest, you are making lot of straw man arguments
