Eason can get overzealous on offense and defense but his instincts and skill level just have you dreaming of what he could become. He shows flashes of being a defensive menace but that will only become more prevalent as he gets stronger and more experienced.

I was looking at Gary Clark's advanced numbers as their instincts seem similar and a few things jump out (aside what a monster Gary Clark was as a senior good god).

Gary Clark career best block rate: 5.5%
Gary Clark career best steal rate: 3.0%
Gary Clark career best assist rate: 14.8%
Gary Clark career best defensive rebound rate: 22.3%
Gary Clark career best offensive rebound rate: 13.4%

Tari Eason conference play block rate: 7.6%
Tari Eason conference play steal rate: 3.4%
Tari Eason conference play assist rate: 17.0%
Tari Eason conference play defensive rebound rate: 23.9%
Tari Eason conference play offensive rebound rate: 13.6%

Mind you - this is without a traditional offseason of weight training and on court instruction. Gary Clark was the most cerebral player I've seen at UC. I don't think he ever took a poor shot and was always in the right position defensively. BUT...Tari does things as a raw freshman that Clark could never do. Tari is already hitting 3s at a respectable clip (low volume) and his handle (particularly that last play of the Tulane game) will be such a weapon once he gets stronger and the game slows down.

Brannen, all I ask is that you don't let Vogt come back for another year. His presence will only serve to marginalize Eason's and Lahkin's development.
