We’re not beating Tulsa and Memphis is a 50/50 so there’s that. Mahan is likely gone after this year, if he continues to average 15+ it’s his best chance to get into the league even if that chance is very slim. Perry was big for us and was the only reason we weren’t blown out against USF, but I doubt he starts over Darius and Tony would likely be ahead of him too if healthy. If he wants to be 2nd-3rd string then go for it I guess.

you're a good 3pt shooting team ... tulsa defense is built around preventing post looks , but there defense tends to give you tons of open looks at the 3..
i think that why they do so in the conference but so poorly in the non conference...our conference is a terrible shooting league, usf is on to the teams in the league with shooters, if adams is back i think youll have a legitimate chance

also from your numeruos many posts, i get that you arent a perry fan... but there is 97% chance perry is ahead in the depth chart over tony and your freshman...the idea that a 5th year senior would be behind 2 players who have barely played any games is extremely unlikely, even though you arent a fan of his...

On the surface a 5th year senior should be ahead of freshman and juniors, but Perry does not play like one. He makes boneheaded mistakes I knew in high school as a PG not to make. He's an experienced player and I don't like talking down on our players, but if I have to watch his decision making the rest of this year and next year I'll be bald from the stress.

You're right that we're a good 3 point shooting team, the problem is we don't get nearly enough looks or shots up for it to matter. We don't have any post presence, or guys that can slice to the basket to give us some space. Opposing teams can just stand out at the perimeter and that's it. Darin Green has to shoot contested 25 footers to even get a shot up. The other night he airballed a shot because he was shooting from so far away. We have no post presence AT ALL, and every time Mahan tries to slice to the inside he loses the ball. Johnny is trying to make us into a position less basketball team which I like, but this isn't the year to do it when no one can punish teams on the inside. CJ Walker has that potential but he can't dribble either. He's a glorified rebounder who can dunk at this point of his development
