Houston's defensive game is obviously elite, but I think tonight was more about how completely inept Temple's offense is front to back. I do like the scrappiness, though.

you are aware houston best scorer (preseason aac POY didnt play) Mills..and we had a 18pt scorer play limited minutes becuase of covid (missed 2 weeks of practices) sasser

and it was definitely not the ineptness of temple...literally google all ouf our other games....
--boise best player (projected draft pick, wo averages 20 a game) had 0 vs houston
--texas tech best player (mac mcclung, hasa horrific fg%, 3-11 and had to score via fts)
-- south carolina best scorer Aj lawson- finished with 5 points 2-10 shooting

all 3 players are consider top tier scorers-- not unless you think temple with freshman scorers were going to be the team to break the trend

Did you watch the game or did you just comb the box score? No one's surprised Dunn got nothing going against Jarreau, but the offense was sloppy, guys were scared to shoot, and they missed something like 8 or 9 layups. And I don't know if I need to repeat what I said about Houston having an elite defense.

You can see the skeleton of what could really be a great offense in a few years.

And Mills or not, that roster is stacked and shouldn't have had some of the issues they did dealing with an inexperienced and undersized Temple roster, especially in the first half. I mean I'm glad our guys had any amount of success doing anything for any amount of time.

What planet are you from where ANY Sampson coached team makes their first shots?

That’s never been how houston has won games. They out-rebound, make 2nd or 3rd chance shots. And be the aggressors on defense forcing turnovers and bad shots (bad 3 pt% against Houston’s defense is a staple)

Temple made 19/25 FT’s compared to 10/15 for UH and it was a 26 pt loss

43-26 rebounds.

It was an ass kicking in the way houston does. Not out talent anyone but outwork and outplay.
