In fairness, both Holtz and Spurrier were old, on the downsides of their coaching careers, they were not the Holtz of Notre Dame and Spurrier of Florida, and both did do some significant winning at SC, at least compared to Muschamp.

That said, yes, SC does not have a history of winning, and that's probably not by accident. That makes them like all Carolina teams other than Clemson, though.
