They are true believers and nothing short of being on a ventilator will change their minds. In some cases that is not enough

My little brother is a respiratory therapist in a Covid ward at a hospital in San Antonio. He does not have to deal with that nonsense, because of the 24 patients on the ward, 22 have a trach tube sewn into their neck and a vent on. This tends to shut off the arguing and denials.
