you don't know much about the history of CCU, do you?

If ESPN wants CCU/Liberty for a featured timeslot, then ESPN will get CCU/Liberty.

Regardless of what your feelings might be about it, if current trends hold that would be a MONSTER of a game.

CCU/Troy very probably won't have an effect on the larger conference race. SHould he have the option, I'm sure Mr Ellison will be smart about this and take the exposure, the $$$ and the time in the sun while he can.

Lol EXACTLY! Comical that anyone would think that the Sun Belt is going to issue a decree on this issue and CCU will bow down and oblige.

Just like any other school in this conference would do if in our situation, Coastal will make the call. I can’t guarantee what that call will be because a lot hinges on next weekend, but the Sun Belt won’t be making the decision.

Just because a message board poster claims that the sun belt will dictate this doesn’t make it so.

Someone has gotten a few of y'all really worked up. so here is the short and simple version. If change is to happen, Coastal and the Sun Belt, and whoever else is involved, a 3rd and/or 4th team maybe even ESPN, whoever will all get together and decide whats best. some will have more weight in the decision but there is no unilateral decision being made from either party to change the schedule in the ways y'all talking about. key part of all that is to make changes to current schedule.

This ^^ is the “exactly”. No one, especially not just Coastal will make this decision. The one paying the bills is the TV network/contract, that filters through the Sun Belt, who has to get everyone below them to agree.

What “should” happen is obvious, no one is arguing that. But it’s naïveté in its purest form to think a “school” holds the power. Simply false. No matter what any message board poster “thinks” they know. Strong opinions don’t make them right, sadly.

Lol. Fun watching you back pedal so fast.

You literally just said that the conference would make the call and we would do whatever they said.

Your exact words: “We will do as the Conference decides. Period.“

Now all of the sudden it’s a “joint” decision.

Cute.
