Quote:The Wisconsin Elections Commission calculates voter turnout as a percentage of the voting-age population -- people age 18 and above -- as estimated by the Demographic Services Center of the Wisconsin Department of Administration. County-by-county census data and population estimates are available on their website. Wisconsin does not calculate turnout based on the number of registered voters, in part because the state has Election Day registration.

Wisconsin's 2020 Estimated Voting Age Population is 4,536,293.

Biden received 1,630,541
Trump received 1,610,007

Total (including 3rd parties and write ins): 3,240268

(3,240,268/4,536,293)*100 = 71.4%

Interesting that their voting aged population listed as an estimate.
we just had a freaking census. they ought to have a fairly hard number.
unless it fluctuates based on college students.

And "voting age" doesn't mean squat. So what? You aged enough to hit the 18 mark.

There are a LOT of people that never register, will never cast a vote or have never voted before. I believe we have a couple here on this board.

Registered voters is what matters, even moreso likely voters. Likely voters have never even approached some 90%.

Most elections have somewhere in a 50+voting %, and that's with only about half our population being registered (that's gone up more recently with "Motor Voter", same day, increased drives to register folks) and active voters. So, yes. Many of our general elections are decided by about 25-30% of the people.

You can't get 9 out of 10 people to agree on anything, but yea, they all decided to vote in this election. Sloe was such an attractive candidate. Charismatic and an inspiring speaker and all.

And, no. Hating Trump doesn't answer that amazing anomaly either.
