Yes they would be throwing a temper tantrum. If a valid election was held and he had won then protesting the election is a temper tantrum. If you want to do something constructive, go lobby the state reps who will be overseeing any questionable legislation he might propose and tell them you'll be watching... Go raise money for legal challenges to any racist EOs or legislation that pass. Mostly, go find better candidates than the ones who just lost to the former Grand Dragon of the Klan in a state that is probably close to 50% 'non-white'. That's not protesting the election.

So that applies any protest with a political angle? People protesting a specific law or policy are also throwing a tantrum because they could be raising money for local officials who support their position or lobbying?

Here's the thing though that you guys just seem to ignore...
Lets say that we discovered that Biden were exactly whom Republicans accused him of being. He was a "Mad Men' chauvinist who abused and by modern definitions, RAPED an underling... who also leveraged his political position through his son for millions of dollars... First, I'd hope you'd admit that it isn't completely without evidence that someone might believe this, as you believe Trump to be a racist... I mean, its essentially a fact regarding Clinton.... but for the purposes of MY hypo, lets say that you had concerns about Biden in that regard....

Would YOU have voted for Ted Cruz (whom I suspect you disagree with a fair amount on policies) over him? Would you have even voted 3rd party?? Or would you have hoped/counted on Pelosi, Schumer, Harris... whomever in your party who supports your goals to keep his 'issues' in check?

That's the thing I find so hypocritical of many progressives on social media claiming they will hold Biden accountable for moving even further left... They're admitting that they voted for someone who doesn't represent them... because he was closer to their goals than the other guy and he was capable of beating the other guy... NOT because they support 'him'.... Yet almost every one of them I know has bad-mouthed everyone who voted for Trump and assigned all of Trump's baggage to them based solely on that. Hell, on here... even people who DIDN'T vote for him have been saddled with his baggage.

I think the difference here is we're talking about primarily about policy positions with Biden (see: moving further left) and character and legal issues with Trump. I don't see those as equal.

To the initial hypothetical, I would not have voted for Ted Cruz - that's like asking if you would have voted for AOC. Someone that far from my political perspective is a big ask.

Would I have voted for someone more moderate like Jeb! or Kasich over someone with the kind of baggage Trump had? Likely. Would I have voted Third Party? Potentially.
