"But they are sure to fire up Trump partisans with the idea that an election fairly decided has somehow been taken from him."

I guess this writer never heard of the 2016 election or the Russia probe or the widespread and continuing (but silent since last Tuesday) claims of Russian interference.

Of course, it is understandable in the face of the continuing right-wing violence, the mass mobs of MAGA hat wearing rioters smashing windows, looting, and burning from Seattle to Minneapolis. I hear that Idaho is on fire, and soldiers have been dispatched to Utah.

So DC boarded itself up in anticipation of an election result. With an ostensible Biden win, the city is happy; ecstatic enough to break out in throngs of cheer.

Which voters does this say the DC voters were scared enough to go on such a rampage to trash the city to the extent that they literally boarded up the city?

Makes one ponder.

Do you think anyone genuinely believe that right-wing violence was more likely than left-wing violence?

I understand that many people pretended to believe that, but I'd be surprised if anyone genuinely believed it.
