of course, we have done plenty of other things recently that "look bad" so maybe everything is on the table.
It says "we don't care about you as a person." Especially right now, it's important to show athletes we care about them whenever we can. Given that there was a recent outbreak that resulted in the athletic facilities getting shut down, this is not an unreasonable decision on her part.
Did you write the bolded part with a straight face? just curious. :)
I agree it is a reasonable decision. I'm just saying if you are receiving $50k (or whatever ridiculous price it costs to go to W&M as an out of state student now) a year to do X and you decide not to do X, then it is also reasonable to not get $50k.

just to be clear, I think everyone should make the decisions that are best for them, which includes an analysis of the consequences. Obviously if there are no consequences then it is what it is. I would also opt to not go to my job and keep receiving my salary if the option was given to me.
