Late 4Q

Weird .... BYU up 14-3, Houston scores next 23 points to go up 26-14 late in Q3. BYU then scores next 29 points.

They looked like a team in mid-season form. We're still trying to figure things out. Pleased with the showing overall but disappointed with the result. Not so bold prediction says BYU wins out makes a NY6 bowl and plays the G5 rep.

I know it's no consolation, but I think Houston will do some damage in the AAC the next few weeks. I watched this game and the Tulane game and you guys have a quality roster. You basically have P5-level talent (no, not upper tier P5 but still, P5 level) on both sides of the ball. Nobody is going to just physically overmatch you. And you have playmakers on offense, starting with the QB.

I predict that among your games with Cincy, UCF, Memphis and SMU, arguably the cream of the AAC, you will win one for sure and very well possibly two. And likely all the rest. You're going to beat the piss out of us.

Good points, Quo.

Sadly, Memphis might likely no longer be among the AAC cream, as the Tigers just lost their best receiver (Coxie). We were already without an elite running back (Gainwell). I'm fearful of a five-win campaign.
