You can't punch players, choke assistants, verbally assault students and make racists comments to your players. What motivation do these players have to lie about the allegations? Good luck recruiting anyone with a pulse now that these stories are out. I personally think it's unbelievable that WSU is allowing him to remain as the coach (without a suspension) while they conduct their own "independent" investigation.

You're going to pay a coach $3.5M a year that acts like he does and averages a 4th place finish in his current league? If you can shell out that type of cash you should be able to do better than Marshall from a performance and optics perspective. It's all bad.

I hate to defend Marshall because his schtick has definitely gotten old in ta town and we need blood but.....Marshall may be a lot of things but he is no racist. People throw that term around pretty loosely these days and I am sick of it. Ya he can be an ******* and say insensitive things but that doesn't make him a "racist." Secondly, players need to get a grip and stop being soft. If your girlfriend is a C**t and everyone knows it and your coach calls you out on it, accept the tough love. Lastly, there have been other stories not reported in this article that are well known in Shocker circles that show Gregg is sometimes a less than stellar human being with a grade A temper. I believe most of these new allegations because they match up with what we already know about him. The best thing Gregg could do is resign from WSU and take some personal time and reinvent himself. He has long said he doesn't want to coach forever but he still has one stop left in him. Take the year off, do some work for CBS during March Madness and then take a job at an A10 or Big East school. Oh, and Bring Jan's home.
