Won't happen because as a stand alone University in this state the financial backing isn't there for SFA. This flyover conference is going to be really hard on SHSU financially.

Yes, they are. SFA is a stand alone and Topstraight wanted to sub SFA for Sam and it basically is the same scenario.

But, my thinking is that you are unaware that the Texas State University system is only Texas State, Lamar, Sam Houston and Sul Ross if Sul Ross hasn't bolted to the Texas Tech system. University of Texas and Texas A&M systems are the two largest followed by Texas Tech. Not sure if the Texas State system is even on par with the University of Houston system.
