Portland will demand a local rival in such a scenario. SU fits that bill like they did before they dropped to D2. So I can imagine the WCC going with a CBU/SU pair over a CBU/GCU pair. Don’t think GCU fits the WCC profile anyway.

Seattle never dropped to D2. You've got their chronology screwed up.

But I think you're spot on about the WCC.
