They (BYU) already deleted the section regarding homosexuality from the Honor Code. I think that was necessary to get into the Big 12. Now they are more in line with TCU and Baylor who do not publicly object to it in anyway, despite Christianity/Homosexuality conflict. More of a 3 monkeys approach...hear no evil see no evil speak no evil. They do not have to condone it or embrace it, as long as they do not object to it publicly. That is the key for the religious universities.

The question is really whether the church will allow it to stay deleted.

And this may be one apostle’s read of things and he gets out-voted. But this is a factor in BYU’s positioning.
