TAMUCC brings nothing to the WAC. When the WAC was non-football, you know that TAMUCC was asked to join multiple times. They could have been here, had they done so earlier. If the goal is to get another football school, then get another football school.

Yeah, TAMUCC offers virtually nothing to any conference. I would never want them. I guess I should have specified that I meant any good potential member that's a good geographic fit for longer term members but doesn't have football. I wouldn't leave someone out strictly because of football. This still isn't exactly a football conference and won't be for some time, if ever. It will remain a mix of schools. If we restrict to football schools only, when they all leave en masse, we're still going to have to be concerned about numbers and Western members simply don't come available all that often. We need to keep taking members like we have since 2013, and take essentially anyone in the neighborhood with a pulse. We aren't out of the woods by a long shot. Way too early to feel comfortable at all.
