It is time to stop the BS about purging. The make up of the WAC unless or until a 14th member is added probably can't get a majority vote to force any school out. It takes seven schools to form a FBS conference. If one school doesn't want to make the leap the 14th member will have to be immediately ready to move up or already be a FBS school. I am not saying a member school won't leave but I doubt the WAC will be able to force any to leave and why should it. There has been talk about travel, but is that realistic? If you are one of the west schools are you going to vote another west school out, I doubt it. As for splitting into two conferences the ones not wanting to go FBS would need to form the new conference as otherwise the WAC's FBS reinstatement wouldn't count. Anything is possible just not likely.
