I imagine you are right for the most part. There are exceptions though. I see that you have NAU listed as one of your schools. I’m guessing most NAU fans are aware of NAU’s national prominence in cross country even if they have never been to a meet.

Being aware is not being a fan. I don’t think anyone would come up to someone wearing a NAU shirt and say “ how bout that cross country team!”
