ACC Football TV Distribution and Start Time Policies

TV Distribution of ACC Football Games

Every ACC Football Home Game will be distributed live by ESPN and its sublicensees. Such distribution may occur on ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNU, over-the-air ("OTA") or regional cable syndication, ESPN3, or by means of other sublicensing by ESPN on other national broadcast, cable or satellite television networks. Syndicated games that air OTA or on Regional Sports Networks (e.g. Fox Sports Carolinas) are generally produced by Raycom and currently referred to as ACC Network games.

Start Times

ESPN will establish start times for all Football Games, except those aired on ESPN 3. Schools will generally select start times for games aired on ESPN3.

Saturday Games will be scheduled for kickoff during one of three windows: early (12 noon/12:30 pm); late afternoon (3:30 pm); and Primetime (after 6pm) local time.

Games may also start in Primetime (after 6 pm) local time on Thursdays and Labor Day Monday.

The start time for any Thanksgiving Friday game(s) shall be mutually agreed between the Conference and ESPN.

In-Season Game Selections/Start Time Notifications

During each Football season, ESPN will generally notify the Conference of its selections and start times of all football games no later than 1:30 pm on the twelfth (12th) day prior to the scheduled date of each such Saturday football Game (i.e., the second Monday prior to the particular Saturday game), but on limited occasions during each season, ESPN may notify the Conference of its selections and start times as late as 12 noon on the sixth (6th) day prior to the scheduled date of each Football Game (i.e., the Sunday prior to the particular Saturday Football Game).

About RSN

RSN, which reaches in excess of 51.4 million homes, includes Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Carolinas, Fox Sports Florida, Sun Sports, Fox Sports Indiana, Fox Sports Midwest, Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic, New England Sports Network (NESN), the YES Network, the Madison Square Garden Network (MSG) in New York and Root Sports in Pennsylvania. All ACC games produced as part of the RSN package will be available via WatchESPN, but are subject to regional blackout.
