Coach Houston talked about your QB being a really dynamic dual threat guy. He said you are really physical on both the OL & DL. But that's about it.

For ECU... a really short & sweet rundown...

I'll start with this... UCF was really good.

Our biggest weaknesses:

OL is pretty darn bad. We rotate a lot of guys, but we are a long way off from being competitive in the AAC with this kind of OL.

DL is unbelievably young. Most of the kids who got reps against UCF played their first college football last week. We have lots of bodies to rotate, but they have virtually no experience. Growing pains.

Our biggest strengths:
Holton Ahlers. Kid is a warrior at QB and has to do it all. Most times he's running for his life.

Our WR's are the strength of our team. CJ Johnson is awesome, and is only a sophomore. They didn't have a great week against UCF, but we hope and expect them to perform like they did in the 2nd half of the 2019 season.

Surprisingly, our defensive secondary is as good as it has been in a long time. The PROBLEM is, our front 7 got virtually no pressure on the UCF QB and they had to cover for 8-10 seconds. But for the first time in a lonnnng time, we have DB's that can make plays.

Deep at RB with a couple of exciting young guys.

Thanks for the rundown on ECU. Enjoyed your take on the team. These are my preliminary thoughts based on few things you have said + what I already know about GSU.

The match up that favors GSU
1) Our experienced veteran OL is the glue that holds our offense together. Based on what you said about young ECU DL, I like GSU's match up there to create holes for our running game and keep our young QB protected.
2) Our DLs are small but quick. I'm excited for the matchup against ECU's OL. They play physically above their weight and undoubtedly the strength of our defense.

The match up that favors ECU
1) Our secondary has never been our strength. ECU seems to have great QB and WRs to carve up our zone defense. I predict GSU's DBs will give up tons of passing yardages.
2) Our passing game vs ECU's secondary. The freshman QB can and will make freshman-like mistakes.
