Alas, a sane Memphis fan. The answer is Tulsa has not competed for a conference championship for a long time. The fans will come back when that happens. They have a very small alumni base.

Incorrect. Last time we hosted a CCG was against UCF in 2012. We drew less than 18,000. The problem is we have a small alumni base, which you stated, and are sandwiched between OU, Ok State, and Arkansas. All 3 of those have large followings and OU has blue blood status. Hard to compete with those 3 for fans. That CCG game against UCF was the same week as Bedlam. Sadly for us, people rather watch that game than us in a conference title game. It has less to do with how good we are, although if we went to about 3 NY6's in 5 years, and got about 3 wins against any of our 3 big neighbors in that same timeframe it would start to push fans our way. But it still wouldn't touch Bud-Barry-Bob University down in Norman.
