The best team in the conference is UCF. Too much recency bias in this place.

I agree and think ucf is the most dangerous team in the conference, but it's hard to rank them #1 when they dropped 2 conference games last year and another one early this year

Using that same logic I'll rate Memphis ahead of UC.

Memphis just lost a conference game too, so today I disagree. We can talk about how dangerous ucf is and how the can keep up with anyone, but you need to win and they didn't. So for right now, this year, smu is top dog

I don't have a problem saying "right now" SMU/UC are #1-2/2-1, but if we're going to dig into last years metrics, I can easily dismiss your one conference win against USF. They were not good last year.

Every team in the conference has some holes IMO.

Memphis (Secondary is god-awful)
UCF (Defense is above average at best)(Too much Bombs-away on offense)
UC (I'm not a Ridder fan-game manager)
SMU (major injuries to key players)(anemic running attack)
