It's a Sysco burger.
They do the best they can with it.
And when I actually went to my office to work, I ate a Tops burger once a week.
But it's still a frozen patty of processed meat.
It's embarrassing to tout it to outsiders as something awesome about our city.

I question the accuracy of your assertion they are frozen. But even if they are, they are not put on the griddle frozen. I have seen them take the patties out of the low-boy 1000s of times and put them on the griddle.

Look it's not a gourmet burger. Nor is it touted as such. It's just a good ol' greezzzy griddle burger like God intended.

I admit, I don't know if it's frozen. But I've seen the Sysco truck there plenty of times, and I thought their goods always arrived frozen.

I will take Tops above any national fast food chain anytime - except Whataburger, In/Out, and Shake Shack (none of which are national). It just doesn't compare to other locals like Hueys, for instance. My actual favorite greasy burger was Sear Shack, but COVID got them.

I too liked Sear Shack. Wayback Burgers is a nice greasy alternative (as well as Steak 'n Shake in a pinch).
