No. The competition could be Teletubbies. 3M viewers is always a good rating when a blueblood isn’t involved. There’s no way to spin 3M into dismal or crappy.

I mean, on the surface, 3 million for "the scrappy underdogs UCF" vs Georgia Tech might sound "good", but when you take the other factors into consideration then it's pretty dismal

for example:
- there were only two head-to-head TV match-ups on. Appalachian State v Marshall on CBS and Troy-MTSU on ESPN. So there was only ONE P5 school playing in that window (Georgia Tech)
- two other games started later in the window and maybe siphoned viewers, but I doubt it. Clemson v Citadel on ACC Network and SMU-North Texas on CBSSN.
- the preceding week, that same Georgia Tech team played another Florida team (FSU) in the same window AGAINST competition on both FOX and NBC, as well as ESPN, etc and drew 3.52M (despite a rain delay)
- Only around 5-6 million people were even watching college football during this window, which is DOWN significantly.

So sure, if you want to throw a party because this game managed to garner 3M then go ahead. However, the data and facts don't suggest that Central Florida can move the needle at all
