They have probably decided there is nothing to be gained by participating in that Sioux Falls tournament — for them.

One of the ways that Coach K inflates their won-loss record every year is playing almost every OOC game at home. They hardly ever travel for OOC. Probably decided that it wasn't worth the risk of getting beat.

I had a quick look. Other than the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, in the last 8 years, the only road game I saw was against St. John's. Duke isn't completely scared to play at MSG since they have a lot of fans there, but they still managed to lose.

Coach K was the one that started the whole "neutral site games get us prepared for the tourney" angle.
