It was a good decision to stay at 10 and not expand with Missouri St (historically a BB school) and EKU (no upside) earlier in the decade.

I agree. Adding schools for the sake of it makes no sense to me. In fact I’d argue a conference with less teams makes the weak ones more obvious and kind of forces them to improve out of shame.

If you’ve got 14 or 16 teams in your conference, you can win 5 games every year and still be “middle of the pack”. What’s the point of having 7 sub .500 teams?
