That’s interesting and fairly in line with what I understand it to be. I could absolutely see why a kid from a rural high school would choose a UNCC over spending 4 years in Boone. Or really anyone looking to live in a large, dynamic city like Charlotte.

Academics aside I chose App because I like to fly fish and ski and loved the feel of a true college town that was walkable.

The only time I really drove my car at App was to head home to Charlotte on long weekends.

Yah we often said the hardest decision we had to make at App was if we were going to: hike, MTB, fly fish, kayak, rock climb, swim, golf or just day drink on any given day from April to November.

I’ve never lived in a smal town outside of Boone, but I’ve never understood the appeal of Charlotte for an 18 year old on a typical college student budget. There really isn’t that much to do (this is subjective) where you don’t have to drive 30+ minutes or spend a bunch of $$. Now I totally get the appeal and nice you graduate and have more disposable income.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Oh well. Can’t wait for the game. I really hope we hammer them and keep CUSA down in the basement where it belongs.
