Tarleton lands Eddie Davis, a 6’6 forward from Portland. Averaged 11.8 ppg, ranking second on the team. Shot .436/.458/.750 from the floor.

I think this puts us up one over the Aggies.

NMSU is back even with Tarleton now that Michael Peake committed to be an Aggie.

So how does all of the commitments work at the D1 level? At D2 you can split scholarships so sign as many as you can and spread the $ around. Do some of the students take minimum hours so they don’t use a year of eligibility? Do they redshirt? In our case, Tarleton isn’t losing a bunch of seniors so we won’t have the scholarships available next year unless we run some kids off. And yes, I used a double negative in a sentence.

The answer is walkons. Some of these kids will be walkons.
