Sorry dude you are listening to the wrong people. Even with the restrictions in place which limited the spread. It still has a death rate right at 6-10 times that of the regular flu. The 6 months of the 2019-2020 flu season saw between 20,000-40,000 deaths. While the 5 month of the Covid outbreak has seen right at 152,000 deaths.
As of this morning 48.5% of all cases in the US are still active. Of the closed cases 93% have recovered and 7% have died.
