Here's a Prep Hoops blurb on Mangas from Nov 6
"George Mangas, 6’4 SF Lima Shawnee 2021: Mangas had a huge high school season, helping Shawnee go unbeaten before COVID cancelled the remainder of the playoffs. Mangas continued his tear of a run with a huge summer for NW Ohio at different events in Fort Wayne. Mangas biggest games came against Indy Heat, a squad loaded with high major prospects including Meechie Johnson and Kalen Etzler
. Despite this talent, Mangas was scoring 20+ points on high efficiency in multiple games Vs Indy Heat. Mangas proved he can score the ball against top competition and I believe he is vastly under-recruited at the moment."

Mangas is about to blow up as a recruit I think. Seems to be the real deal.

there's always some guys who just don't get recruited at the level they produce for whatever reason. i wasn't too impressed w his tapes, but sometimes subtle skills and moves don't show up as well in highlight reels.

1 minute mark. Mangas 1-1 against BGSU recruit Fulcher.

meh, he's just throwing backyard moves, they're fun but a little sloppy, low release on the quick fadeaway jumper. looks pretty when it goes in, but you're thinking "bad shot" every time it doesn't. i thought his move at the 1:45 mark was better.

i mean, he seems like a gamer, but i'm not sold yet, curious cuz some fans are promoting him and he's a nw ohio kid. we're talking about whether ut should offer, right? the staff has recruited him but haven't extended an offer because they are still in the mix for more talented recruits.

the way i see it. mangus doesn't have a single D1 offer. he just got his first small college offer and it's november of his senior year. he's gonna jump all over a UT offer which would likely put a cap on our early recruiting class. so, if we offer that's deciding all the guys we thought were better, who we spent most of our time recruiting, are shifted to the backburner or told there are no more spots in the class. is mangas an overlooked gem? or a guy better off killing it at D3 than getting lost in the mix of a good D1 roster?
