Not sure permanently altering you're RNA is a good long term solution. Too much unknown on how it would affect immunity for yet to be discovered pathogens.

mRNA vaccines don't alter your RNA, but I agree that altering your genetic makeup probably wouldn't be a good idea.

mRNA vaccines do not alter your DNA. These vaccines take a piece of the viruses RNA that codes for a portion of the spike protein used to enter your cells. Your sales then make copies of that portion of the spike protein (no active virus) and that is displayed on the surface of your cells. Immune cells then come by and read that and begin making antibodies. That's it.
