Other schools can try to join the SEC but the SEC has to invite them or want them and the list of schools that the SEC will want is pretty small.

I highly doubt any Big Ten schools will want to leave for the SEC but could this cause the Big Ten to try to get schools to increase their payout per school to keep up? It makes sense ... and CENTS.

As for the Pac-12/Big 12, Texas and Oklahoma certainly have to at least give the Big Ten and/or SEC a look. It's doubtful the other schools will get an interest from either the Big Ten or the SEC. A merger between the two might not be a bad idea or maybe even something as simple as combining media contracts and giving a network the first choice from either conference each week instead of the first from one conference. Apart neither conference is valuable but combined you own California and get the most significant school in Texas. if Oklahoma and Texas are off or playing scrubs you can instead get Oregon as your featured game instead of having to settle for a Little 8 special.
