An iconic team helped make the uniforms iconic...they were really cool though and being one of four Jordan teams was pretty cool too (I was at UC at they time so I'm very biased toward those uniforms too). Not to make this about the Bengals but their uniforms are pretty uniformly (pun) panned by NFL alums. If they were a dominant team in their history, the memory of their unis would be different. I don't mind them but wish the Brown family would be more open to going with a throwback look at times. Mike has said the current helmet is one of their trademarks and they won't wear a different helmet.
Wouldn't adding helmets and uniforms cost money? Mikey no likey to spend money!
100% agree with this...but, what's not to agree with. From what I've read, their football ops is probably middle of the pack right now as far as spending but he's still cheap when it comes to extras (you know...like an indoor practice facility!). I read that in the next couple of years, the NFL is allowing helmets to be changes for special games too. There was a discussion about the Bucs going back to their creamsicle colors for select games. Here's hoping the Bungholes are willing...but it will probably be too expensive.
