RE: Rumor: Delaware State discussed NEC at BOT meeting
The NEC is at 10 members, 7 play football plus fb affiliate Duquesne makes 8.

Geographically, they have 4 New England schools, 4 NYC/NJ schools, plus one in PA and one in MD.

Conceivably, if they wanted to, they could take on say Delaware St and Morgan St. this would essentially create 3 pods of 4 for scheduling and travel purposes.

The NEC is of course under no obligation to expand and the NE and NYC blocks could easily limit targets to ones that are good geographic fits for those 8 schools.
