Way, way, way more members of Antifa. That's what I think. But I also think you wrongly classify every person with any prejudice as white supremacists. A white supremacist would be one who thinks the white race should rule - basically neo-nazis. Not a lot of them around these days. Separatists, both white and black, are not supremacists. And lots of people may have preconceived notions about other races that include neither a supremacist nor a separatist idea.

Quote:NOBODY is saying all the protesters are WS. That's a ridiculous straw man. I think 98% of the protesters are reasonable people who have no interest in committing violence or looting. It's the 2% that are doing dumb, illegal stuff and are obscuring the message of the peaceful protesters. Some of that 2% is apparently made up of right-wing WS.

I guess we can choose any numbers we want, since these are opinions. My opinion is that way more than 2% of the protesters are causing the violence. I guess it is human nature to try and blame everything on a "few" extremists. IMO, probably up to 50% in some cases are initiating the violence or joining in the violence. Just look at the videos - if that is 2%, then 50X that would be the whole protest, right? The percentage varies from city to city, protest to protest. That's why we have lots of violence in places like Seattle, little in places like Oklahoma City. If the WS were provoking violence, wouldn't you expect more in red areas than in blue areas?

As for "some" of that percentage being right-wing WS masquerading as Antifa, I think you are making a big thing out of one person. Zero evidence of more. I think this belongs on the ashheap along with Russians controlling Trump.

Quote:Federal prosecutors filed charges this week against three alleged boogaloo members accused of plotting to cause violence and destruction at Las Vegas protest.

Quote:The Tech Transparency Project, a Washington-based tech watchdog group, found tens of thousands of people joined boogaloo-related Facebook groups over a 30-day period in March and April as stay-at-home orders took effect across the United States to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. Project researchers found discussions about tactical strategies, weapons and creating explosives in some boogaloo Facebook groups.

Quote:A small number of white supremacists and white nationalists have been spotted at recent protests, according to watchdog groups and media reports. The Nationalist Social Club, a neo-Nazi group, appeared to have had some presence at protests in Boston and Knoxville, Tennessee, the ADL said. Members of the far-right Proud Boys were seen at North Carolina and Oregon protests last weekend, according to media reports.

Nate Snyder, a former U.S. Department of Homeland Security counter-terrorism official, said it is likely anarchists were among the protesters in recent days, but doubted they would pose a credible violent threat.
