I don't think anybody is saying that.

You are implying that perceived poor behavior from cops towards black people is likely not different from the poor behavior that white people sometimes receive from cops. This can be escalated due to the baseline distrust that some (many?) black people have when it comes to the police.

My opinion is that there is probably some merit to what you have laid out, however there is a level of poor cop behavior in a not-insignificant percentage of time that is unequal when it comes to the white vs. black community. Perhaps some of this is due to some inherent fear the police have when it comes to black people, maybe there is some subconscious racism, and maybe there is some full-on racism.

I can't prove this disparity based on data that is available. Both sides can shoot holes in the available studies. It is my opinion based on what I have read and conversations that I have had. I am not calling this an unassailable truism but it is my best guess.

Well, that's pretty harsh IMO. You think that George Floyd deserved to be choked to death by that cop due to his behavior?
